Now for something new…

For a long time, my friends and family have often said that I should try and do something more with my creativity. I have drawn and painted for as long as I can remember. This was followed by taking up learning to play the piano when I was eleven and starting to compose aged fourteen.

Over the years, the painting and piano composing has stopped and start, often as hobbies do, when life gets busy. However, now I have reached a certain age, and I feel more settled in life, I think it is time to take myself out of my comfort zone and allow a little more time to follow the creative path.

Although I am blessed to have ended up with a career which is entirely vocational, it would also be nice to allow for my creative endeavours to come out a little. It feels entirely exposing, putting what has relatively been a private thing into the public, especially as much of what inspires me creatively is born from the more difficult aspects of life. However, I am assured by those around me that it will be worth it. Who know’s, I am sure you will all tell me as I go on this joruney.

Along the way I will be writing twice weekly blogs. I think having the time to reflect on this will be helpful, but will also document the journey which I invite you all now to join me.

Subscribe the list and join me as I explore new creative adventures which will likely have all the trappings of an E4 Soap Opera I am sure. At the moment I am thinking one of the weekly blogs will be around looking at techniques or something that has inspired me. The other, more personal and reflective.

I shall leave it here now but I look forward to hearing from you all. And don’t forget to subscribe!

Yours

David
